Mary Ellen Yergens, 69, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Mary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 47, the SPCA, and formerly in Big Sister Program for 11 years, Mary Ellen was a certified SHIP counselor and a Casa Volunteer. Surviving are her cousins, Sandra Faux of Fort Wayne, David Faux of Fort Wayne, Stephen (Vickie) Faux of Auburn, IN, Brian Faux of Greenwood, Christopher Faux of Cathedral City, CA, Linda (Dr. Craig) Nelson of Fort Wayne, Shirley (Ed) Walker of Fort Wayne, and Kellie and Terry Setup, aunt, Doris Yergens of Fort Wayne; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by father, Jack W. Yergens and mother, Peggy Yergens. Service is 10:30 am, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2313 S Hanna St with Pastor Douglas Punke officiating with an hour of calling prior to the service. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Sunday, April 15, 2018, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
