Diana A. Updike, 68, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Golden Years Homestead. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Diana was the daughter of the late Charles Arnett and Edith Gardlik who survives. Diana earned two master degrees from the University of St. Francis. She was an Associate Professor at IPFW for 20 years prior to her retirement. Diana enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, John Updike; mother, Edith Gardlik of Butler; siblings Charles (Jeanine) Arnett of Butler, Mark Arnett of Angola, Christine Staley of NM; nieces and nephews, Katherine Arnett, Timothy Arnett, Sarah (Eric) LeCount; Jeffery Bryant; and her pride and joy her cats, Fiona and Divya. A gathering will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside, Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue. Memorials may be made to St Francis University Scholarship Fund.
